Nokia has now brought the full range of its Lumia Windows Phone 8 phones to India. After the announcement of the Lumia 920 and 820 earlier this year, the Lumia 620 went on sale last week. Nokia today announced that the Lumia 520 and Lumia 720, which it unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona at the end of February, will be available in India in April.
The Lumia 520 will be available in the first week of April, priced at approximately Rs 10,500. The Lumia 720 will be available by the middle of April, priced under Rs 20,000.
The Lumia 520 will be feature a 4-inch display with a 5-megapixel autofocus rear camera. There is front facing camera. The phone will be powered by a dual-core 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 CPU, 512MB of RAM. It will have 8GB of internal storage and will come with a 1430mAh internal battery. The phone should be available in 5 colors – yellow, red, cyan, white and black. The Lumia 520 will be the most affordable smartphone running Windows Phone 8 in the market.
The screen of the Lumia 720 will feature innovations like enhanced sunlight readability and super sensitive touch. The phone will have a 4.3-inch WVGA display with curved glass and wireless charging with a snap on cover. One of the biggest features of 720 is that it has a 6.7-megapixel rear camera with a f/1.9 aperture, which is bigger than most high-end smartphones. The Lumia 720 will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus dual-core processor clocked at 1GHz, 512MB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage along with a microSD card slot. The phone is powered by a 2,000 mAh battery.
Both the phones come with Nokia’s music and navigation services, along with other Nokia specific apps like City Lens.
Nokia also announced that there are now over 1,30,000 apps available for Nokia Lumia Phones.
