Healthcare Startup Lybrate Secures $1.23mn From Nexus; Launches Android App

Healthcare product, Lybrate has secured $1.23mn in funding from Nexus Venture Partners. The New Delhi based startup has also launched its smartphone app to complement their website, helping doctors and patients connect easily.

The app, currently launched for android devices, provides patients with a one-click emergency support system and a search tool for nearby ambulance services.lybrate

Lybrate helps patients to locate nearby doctors and book an appointment with them. Patients can also store their digital records of critical information like past prescriptions, lab reports, blood group, allergies, etc on the smartphone app to share with their doctors easily.

For doctors, Lybrate helps them manage appointments, medical records and billings for their clinic. Doctors can instantaneously access their patient’s information anytime, anywhere. It also allows them to share medical records with colleagues for a second opinion. Lybrate helps medical practitioners save time and make better decisions for their patients.

Started by ex-Facebook data scientist Saurabh Arora, Lybrate is also backed by Vispi Daver, prominent venture capitalist from Silicon Valley and Gokul Rajaram, an active startup investor and technologist who has played key roles at Google and Facebook.

Competitor Practo recently raised INR 25 crores from Sequoia Capital.
