Majority of Indians claim personal data leaks from government, telecoms, and banks

  • Of the respondents, 81% blamed local government offices, 75% blamed telecom service providers, and 69% blamed banks and financial services for the leaks.
  • The Digital Personal Data Protection Bill, aiming for lawful and fair data usage, is under consideration in the Parliament.
