MakeInIndia – Single Day Registration Period For Businesses

With the Make In India initiative promoting companies to startup in India, the government is now working on cutting down the registration period for companies from 25 days to a single day. The government has taken measures in regard to registration, tax systems and permit requirements etc to lure more companies into the country.
India was ranked 134 of 189 countries in the world in the ‘ease of doing business’ survey made by World Bank. This was among the lowest ranks on the list.
The Department of Industrial Policies and Promotion (DIPP) has taken up a series of measures to improve the ease of doing business by simplification and rationalization of existing rules and by introducing information technology for better governance. The current move for single day registration period is also a part of this initiative.
NaMo had time and again mentioned the need to improve the country’s employment opportunities and making India a strong technology hub with the Digital India campaign as well.
