MCN Ping Digital Network Raises Second Round Of Funding

The trend of personalized video channels on YouTube is fast catching up in India and Ping Digital Network is already a major player in the league

Multichannel talent platform for digital media, Ping Digital Network, has raised second round of investment from a group of angel investors led by Monisha Advani of Hindi film production firm Emmay.
Ping Digital Network claims to have 158 youtube channels under it spanning across categories like technology, knowledge, education, news, gaming and food segments. It also claims to have more 2 lac fans following us on YouTube , Facebook & Twitter with over 66.8 + million views.
Ping Digital also provides content creators/partners with a fully equipped studio with camera and audio system setup to shoot a variety of shows and an in-house production control room to enable live telecast of shows. PING Network additionally provides its partners access to over 1 million licensed audio tracks as well.
Ping Digital Network also has Google and YouTube as its content partner providing India based content through their channels. The firm had launched the India Music Network and India Food Network after their first round of funding early last year. It has also launched the Boom News Channel under it umbrella.
PING Network enables its partners to manage, monetize and optimize their content, to increase CPMs impressions and subscribers. The Network also facilitates brand and sponsorship deals, which enable partners to increase visibility, reach out to larger audiences and gain more revenue out of their content.
The trend of personalized video channels on YouTube is fast catching up in India now with everybody using a cellphone having access to content everywhere. Internationally, such channels are a huge hit among viewers and there are many multi-million deals made for acquiring such channels by firms like Disney and Warner Bros. and others. With a huge population to tap into and the increasing number of devices accessing internet, the numbers and potential are only to grow faster.
