Speciality home healthcare services startup, Medwell Ventures has raised $10 million (Rs 64 crore) in a Series A round of funding from Fidelity Growth Partners India and Fidelity Biosciences.
Bangalore-based startup plans to use the funds raised to develop its technology base and expand to five more cities in South and West India in the next three years.
Co-founded by former Fortis Healthcare Group CEO Vishal Bali, Medwell offers speciality medical care services at home. Currently, the company is operational in Bangalore and Hyderabad and plans to expand its services to Mumbai in August.
Last year, the company had acquired Nightingales Home Health Services to provide dementia care, stroke rehabilitation, wound management, pulmonary rehabilitation, Intensive Care Unit at home among others.
