Meru Cabs Embraces Aggregation Model; Ties Up With Kolkata’s Local Taxis

Marking the first step towards aggregation with local players, Meru Cabs has announced a partnership with local air conditioned ‘No Refusal’ taxis in Kolkata. Meru will now act as a booking facilitator for local taxi segment.

Meru will enable bookings through the Meru Cabs App.

Kolkata’s local taxis using Meru’s platform will follow state regulated fares and customers will be charged a fee of Rs 20 to be paid over the fare displayed on the meter.

Customers will have access to Meru’s features like ‘Trip Tracker’ and ‘ICE’ (In Case of Emergency), for the safety of women passengers. Meru will undertake training program where they will impart knowledge on customer service and etiquettes and use of technology for all the taxi drivers under Meru Training Academy before adding them to the platform.
