Meru Cabs has filed four new complaints with the country’s antitrust watchdog (CCI), claiming that Uber and Ola are abusing their dominance in four different cities by burning vast sums of investor funds to distort the market.
Earlier, CCI ruled against Meru on its allegations that Ola and Uber were abusing its dominance (source).
Meru leadership team has gone public with these allegations earlier too; but with very little success. With Ola’s new billion dollar funding and new discounts, Meru which was the first organized player in this space is definitely up for bumpy ride.
For a company which hasn’t drank the funding cool aid (of same magnitude as competition), how can you survive against well-funded gorillas? What’d you do as an entrepreneur?
