From February, customers in Delhi will be given options of getting their packages delivered at selected 10 metro stations.
In a move to ensure last-mile delivery to customers, Kiosks will be provided at the stations, which will also serve as revenue generation model for DMRC.
“Payment on delivery option, using credit or debit cards will also be provided to the customers at the ‘Automated Parcel Delivery Terminals’ at 10 stations,” said a DMRC official.
Those opting the station delivery system will be provided a unique One Time Password over SMS during purchase itself and the customers will have to provide the password to the designated staff at the terminal to collect their orders.
MG Road, HUDA City Centre, Noida Sector 18, Laxmi Nagar, Vaishali, Nehru Place, Dwarka Sector 9, Kashmere Gate, Rajiv Chowk and GTB Nagar are the only stations which will provide this facility for now.
