Lumia Users Can Now Purchase Apps Via Idea’s Carrier Billing

Idea-logo_thumb.gifTelecom provider Idea Cellular and Microsoft Mobiles have joined hands to enable purchases from Windows app store through mobile billing or prepaid balances.
In a country where credit card usage is much lower than debit cardsMicrosoftAccelerator or net banking, this move could cater to the 135 million smartphone users here. The tie up will enable users to purchase and install apps priced till INR 300. While credit cards require a two-step authentication process, purchases over telecom bills and prepaid credit can be quick and hassle free.
Idea Cellular is also in talks with Android Play store to enable the same facility on Android while Microsoft is planning tie ups with other telecom services to enable carrier billing for app downloads. [Source]
