Microsoft Launches Word, PowerPoint And Excel Apps For Android Phones

Microsoft has finally launched the final versions of its Word, PowerPoint and Excel apps for Android phones. The apps are available openly on the Play Store and can be installed on any device running Android 4.4 and up.

Microsoft Office Apps For Android

Office apps for Android phones comes are quite a significant delay. First came Office Apps for iPads, then the company made mobile editing free and launched the apps on the iPhone in November.

Microsoft also released Word, PowerPoint and Excel for Android tablets as a preview last November and a full-fledged release in January this year. Android phones were the final puzzle and now users can download separate apps for Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Windows Phone seems to be the only platform that doesn’t have independent apps for Word, Excel and PowerPoint, however, those are expected to come in with Windows 10 at the end of July.

Features of the Office Apps for Android Phones are similar to what users get on an iPhone. Users will be able to make reviews and edits, make presentations directly from a phone, access to files stored on Dropbox, Google Drive, Box and OneDrive.

The Word for Android, Excel for Android and PowerPoint for Android apps are available for download from the Google Play store beginning today.
