Microsoft to delete Teams business user data if they don’t upgrade to paid tier

  • Microsoft has launched its Teams service and is changing the free offering for work.
  • The existing Teams Free version for small business will be replaced by Teams (free) on April 12th.
  • Data from the legacy version will not be transferred over.
  • To save chats, meetings, channels, and other key info, businesses must purchase the Teams Essentials plan ($4 per user per month).
