In a remarkable demonstration of the power of neural networks, researchers from Neurobotics and the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology have found a way to visualize a person’s brain activity in the form of actual reconstructed images without invasive brain implants.

The researchers say that this has the potential to help post-stroke patients rehabilitate non-invasively and in cognitive disorder treatments. With an AI neural network and EEG electrodes placed on the scalp, the team was able to reconstruct what the test subjects were looking at in real-time (see in video above).
