Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) has now come out with an algorithm to identify people infected with COVID-19 based only on their cough.
This algorithm was developed after training it on thousands of cough and spoken word recordings. It has now correctly determined 98.5% of COVID affected coughs.
The other great thing about this algorithm is, it has correctly recognized asymptomatic COVID-19 carriers with a success rate of 100%.
