Mobile payments company MobiKwik has partnered with the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), to provide e-cash payments for Tatkal bookings. To book a tatkal ticket with MobiKwik within 2 seconds, users must preload their wallet with the desired amount using netbanking, credit or debit card or cash loading.
“Instantaneous payments with MobiKwik will help tatkal online in managing the load of over a thousand ticket bookings per minute. The service will also help users to ensure that their bookings don’t get rejected due to payment delays,” the company said in a statement.
