With 15 new mobile plants from leading manufacturers, mobile production in India has reached 100 million units.
The Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar, said that electronic manufacturing drew an investment of Rs 1.14 lakh crore investment. The smartphone sales also increased and reached 100 million by the end of December, 2015.
The Telecom minister said that internet penetration has rapidly increased including through mobile phones and reached to 400 million and is expected to rise by another 100 million.
