PayTM.com, one of the products of One97 Communications limited has come up with an analysis on usage profile of its users vis-a-vis transactions made on the site .
The overall ARPU is Rs106.19. Top five Operators with highest ARPU are Reliance CDMA: Rs132.6, BSNL: Rs124.2, Vodafone: Rs120.9, Idea: Rs108.4 and Tata Indicom: Rs105.8.
The top five regions with highest ARPU are Gujarat: Rs127.9, Delhi NCR: Rs126.6, Karnataka: Rs123.5, Haryana: Rs118.9 and Kerala: Rs114.8.
Weekly Transaction Analysis
– Sundays are slow days and the peak occurs on Thursday.
– Number of transaction dip as weekend approaches.
– Percentages of transactions drop sharply in Mumbai and Delhi NCR towards weekend(* ). Where as in U.P. west & Uttaranchal number of transactions rise towards the weekend. This aberration can be attributed to the fact that there is more weekend culture in metros as compared to UP west & Uttaranchal.
Modes of Payment
Here’s a study done on various modes of payment and which are most commonly used by PayTM users. Mainly there are three modes of payment been used – they are Net Banking, Debit Card and Credit Card.
The above chart shows that the customers of PayTM.com are using more Debit cards.
Peak Hours of Transaction
Here’s a study done on the peak hours when transactions are done at the maximum level
– The peak traffic is between 10:00 am to 1:59 pm and 6:00 pm to 9:59 pm. 50% of the total transactions are done in these 8hrs. Transactions reach their minimum at 4:00 am in the morning.
The graphs are similar for different days of the week except on Saturday when transactions comparatively don’t dip by 12 midnight.
