Vucluip launches India’s first mobile video platform exclusively for women

Vuculip has launched mobile portal, ‘Mira’, exclusively for women. Mira features video content relating to health, beauty, fashion and style tips, parenting, cooking recipes, career, entertainment, celeb-speak, astrology and more. Currently 14% of women of the total 11 million users access Vuclip in India.mira

The portal is targeted towards the new age women who are independent, tech savvy and full of life. It derives content from almost 30 content providers in India and globally and the video channel can be accessed from virtually any internet-enabled mobile phone.

Makemytrip unveils Apps For Android & i phone, Upgrades HTML 5 Focused Mobile Site

Country’s largest online travel services provider MakeMyTrip (MMT) has launched mobile apps for Android devices and iPhone and an upgraded HTML 5-based mobile site for smart phones. The app enables users to search and book flights. With the help of such apps passenger details will also be stored on the device to avoid having hassle to type in the details time and again. The app also offers additional travel-solutions such as users can view booking details, make cancellations, request e-tickets and track status of refunds.

Additionally, the app also facilitates alerts on updated flight schedules and checking the status of a flight with real time flight schedules. Users can also receive details on specific travel deals including personalised deal notifications. Launches Mobile Site

Consumer review website has launched its mobile site. The site has been launched as a part of the company’s strategy to establish a strong mobile presence. According to company’s statement, it plans to spend close to 50 per cent of its budget on mobile this year. The site has been created in a mix of HTML 5 and CSS 3 standards for easy accessibility. Given the low speed of internet on mobiles in India, it has been made light for fast browsing. The’s mobile site is compatible with smart phones along with basic features phones.

The mobile centric site has been launched with three specific goals – to present the vast content of to people on the move; to help people in quick decision-making; and continue to help people to share their views on products and opinions through mobile phones.

Kerela Tourism Launches Mobile Site, Apps For Android & i phone Platforms

Kerela Tourism has launched mobile guides in form of a mobile website and apps for iPhone and Android, and bluetooth feature to offer information on tourist destinations to travelers visiting the state. The board aims to assists travellers explore destinations in the state sans the need to hire guides. According to Kerela tourism board, the mobile site will offer details related to Ayurveda, artforms, cuisines, houseboats, places to stay, tour operators, festival calendar, and travel alerts

The Kerala Tourism website claims to get 7000-8000 visits per day and more than 2.5 million visits in a year.
