Most Google Chrome extensions find no takers

A study conducted by Extension Monitor has revealed that most of the Google Chrome extensions have not attracted active users.

The study claims that over 23% of all the Chrome extensions have one or less installs, while 50% of all extensions have 16 or less installs. The Chrome extension market still has a huge scope with less than3% paid installs and 87% extensions managing less than 1000 downloads in all.

Though the top 13 extensions like Google Translate, Adobe Acrobat, Tampermonkey, Avast Online Security, Adblock Plus, Grammarly for Chrome, Skype have been downloaded over 10 million times, the rest remain unknown and unused.
