Motorola has finally launched the 4G variant of its budget smartphone Moto E on Flipkart’s online store, gearing up for the wave of high-speed networks that will soon be available in the country.
The Moto E 4G will cost Rs 7,999 on Flipkart with offers including a Rs 500 discount, exchange of up to Rs 1,500, an Airtel 4G ready SIM, double data offer and a voucher worth Rs 500.
Unlike the 3G variant of the Moto E, the device is powered by Qualcomm’s more powerful Snapdragon 410 processor that also finds home in the more expensive Moto G.
Like all devices from Motorola, the Moto E 4G will come with a near stock Android experience and features a 4.5 inch qHD display. In terms of imaging the device comes with a 5MP primary camera and a VGA front-facing unit.
With most major network providers in India planning to roll out 4G services on a massive scale by the end of the year, manufacturers too are showing that they’re ready with compatible devices.
One of the major adoption barriers for 3G services in India was the lack of 3G capable devices, causing major losses and a delay in adoption of next gen technology by network operators.
