MTS has launched its smartphone at a starting price of Rs. 4999. All the smartphones are 3G enabled and expect more of such launches coming from telecom operators who are dying to jump into the 3G bandwagon.
Targeted at youth, these mobiles are loaded with social networking features and offer competitive features.
“MTS smartphones are among the most competitive and fully loaded devices which will set a benchmark in the industry with the third generation capabilities,” said Vsevolod Rozanov, president and chief executive officer, SSTL.
MTS Phone, Buzz is priced at Rs. 4,999 and offers Facebook as well as Twitter support and has expandable memory upto 4GB.
MTS Phone, Alive supports FB, Twitter; has Opera browser preinstalled and costs Rs. 6,000. Ivory, another phone costs Rs. 13,500/ (access to more than 50 TV channels) and supports push mail services as well.
