Shamik Sharma, Myntra’s Chief Technology and Product Officer has quit, and moved into an advisory role, after a four-year stint at the Flipkart-owned fashion e-tailer. Ajit Narayanan, the SVP & head of engineering, has been promoted to head all technology.

Sharma, a former Yahoo and Lytro employee, had joined Myntra in September 2012. He also worked with SOA Software, HP and at the University of Maryland in his previous stints.

Confirming the development, Myntra said that Ajit Narayanan, who was earlier heading storefront engineering and has been a key leader in several of Myntra’s innovations, has been appointed as the new CTO of Myntra.

Sharma is the third top executive to quit the company this year. In August, Prasad Kompalli, head of commerce, and Abhishek Verma, who led the fashion brands vertical had quit Myntra.
