Product discovery platform Mysmartprice has raised $1 mn in series A funding from existing investors Helion Venture Partners & Accel Partners.
“We intend to use the money to improve existing product and get an entry into lifestyle segment,” Sitakanta Ray, Co- Founder of MySmartPrice told NextBigWhat.
The company which has focused on electronics and books so far, is now looking at a more horizontal play. “We will help people buy everything that is sold online,” he said.
MySmartPrice, which revamped its mobile site, also wants to improve on it. The company has more than 3 lakh downloads on mobile, said Sitakanta. The company recently added the lifestyle & fashion category.
The startup currently has a 30 member team. In January 2014, the company will clock more than 10 million visitors, he added.
The Hyderabad based startup, founded in 2010, raised Rs 2 cr from Helion Venture partners in 2012.
