No need to stand at cinema theater to prove patriotism’: Supreme Court On National Anthem

A bench of Chief Justice Dipak Misra, Justices AM Khanwilkar and DY Chandrachud turned down Centre’s plea not to tinker with its earlier order and asked it to take a call on framing rules or guidelines to regulate playing of national anthem in cinema halls and other events.
The court indicated that it may modify its own order of November 2016, by replacing the word “shall” with “may”.
