Netflix has announced strategic partnerships with three major companies in India – Airtel, Videocon d2h and Vodafone – to tap their distribution.
In the mobile space, Netflix will partner with Vodafone on pre-paid programs and will enable payment integration, allowing Vodafone customers in India to pay for their Netflix subscriptions via their monthly bill.
How about GOOD content, Netflix?
Netflix first needs to fix its content in India – the current options aren’t at all exciting and there is hardly anything worth ‘paying for’.
While the distribution and partnership works, it may just fall flat for the lack of good content (Amazon has done a much better job).
