Netflix has finally launched its ‘India plan’ for Rs. 199/ and will only be accessed on 1 mobile (1 mobile device, 1 concurrent stream, 480p, Single stream, NO HD, NO casting).

Interestingly, Netflix was also testing a weekly subscription plan but that idea is no longer being pursued (via).

Netflix has ~2 million users in India and hopefully, this pricing change will take it to the 100 million path.

The key, however is the whether Netflix needs to go really deep into desi content (of course, it is launching several desi shows), but the million dollar question is whether Netflix can make it big without the C content, i.e. cricket?
