This week saw lots of funding activity in the country. Komli Media raised $30 million from PE Fund Peepul Capital and existing investors, Homeshop18 raised $14 million from GS Home Shopping and others, Ticketgoose raised ~ $3 mn from Indventure, Intel Capital Invested $65 million in 16 companies out of which two were from India. Car rental service Savaari was one of them. Sri Lanka also witnessed some funding activity with Venture Engine 2013 finalists securing around $760k in funding from Indian and Sri Lankan Angel Networks.
We also saw some interesting startups and product feature launches this week. Fade.li, an Ahmedabad based startup that will help you send self destructing emails. Instamojo launched new features to secure pdfs from piracy.Smart Mumbaikar launched a missed call based instant ride sharing system.
