Union minister Nitin Gadkari has announced that he will not allow driverless less cars in India as it may lead to a lot of people going jobless.
He revealed that he has been approached by many industry leaders seeking permission to bring autonomous vehicles to India. Though he said, till the time he is in charge of the portfolio, he will not let them introduce such vehicles India.
He clarified that he is not against the usage of technology but does not want it to take away the jobs of millions of people in the country.
Earlier, he clarified that the govt is not planning to ban petrol and diesel to promote Electric vehicles.
