Well looks like Nokia is taking the online first route now. After taking  pre-orders for the Lumia 620, last week, today Nokia put up the Nokia 310 on its online shop priced at Rs 5,601. The touch screen phone comes with dual SIM support and also WiFi connectivity. It has a scratch resistant 3.0-inch capacitive touch screen. It is powered by a S40 Asha OS and runs on a 1 GHz processor. It has a 2-megapixel rear camera and the memory can be expanded up 32GB with a microSD card. The connectivity features include, 2G GPRS/EDGE, WiFi 802.11b/g, Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP, micro USB 2.0 and USB charging. It packs a 1110 mAh battery and a FM radio.

The Nokia Asha 310 is available in two colors – Black and Gold.

The phone is also available on other online retailers like Saholic for around Rs. 5499.

Lava launches E-Tab Connect Z7C


Lava has launched a 3G voice-calling tablet priced at Rs 9,499. The E-Tab Connect Z7C is the first voice enabled tablet from Lava.

The tablet is powered by 1.2GHz Qualcomm MSM7227A processor and runs on 4.0 Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It has 512MB RAM, 4GB of built-in storage which can be expand to 32GB via a SD card. The tablet comes with 7-inch screen with a 800×480 pixe) resolution, 2MP rear and 0.3 MP front camera. It runs on a 3000 mAh battery. Lava is preloading the tablet with apps like Hungama, Bigflix, Edukart and Diamond Comics.

The tablet will compete with devices like the HCL ME Y3 and the Micromax Funbook P600 which are similarly priced.
