Geodesic has acquired South America-based IM solution provider, Interactive Networks for an undisclosed sum.

The acquisition will enable Geodesic to expand its global footprint to South America and Africa as well as expand operations further to mobile carrier and enterprise markets and to provide carriers and handset vendors with a broader product portfolio (source)

MySpace to present ‘Secret Shows’ for the first time in India
MySpace is bringing the ‘MySpace  Secret Shows’ in India.
Based on the concept, ‘disclosed locations, undisclosed artistes’, the first Secret Show in India will be held in Mumbai on Friday, 29th May. In keeping with the global format, the MySpace Secret Shows franchise in India will be a free concert only for MySpacers.

HT Media Ltd Q4 net drops 44 pc to Rs 23.43 crore
HT Media Ltd has reported a 44 per cent drop in its standalone net profit at Rs 23.43 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2009 from Rs 41.59 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

Internet revenue stands at Rs. 99 Lakh for the year ending March 31st, 2009 – a drop of Rs. 45.74cr.

Nokia unveils its cheapest 3G phone
Nokia has unveiled it’s cheapest 3G phone – for as low as $108 (excluding tax/operator subsidies). The cellphone will go on sale from third quarter of the year.
