Nokia X7 coming to India in June

The smartphone market is getting hotter and hotter and its poised to grow at 12.5% between 2010 and 2016 and will account for about 32% of the mobile phone market in the Asia-Pacific region. One such latest offering of the Finnish giant is the X7 smartphone. The X7 is set to launch in India next month with the much fabled Symbian ‘Anna’. Anna is Nokia’s latest version of Symbian and it will be available on some older phones as well!

The AMOLED screen on the phone is sure to make the display awesome and combine it with dual speakers and surely an amazing entertainment experience is generated. Doubt remains over the future of the Symbian platform as Nokia’s deal with Microsoft for pushing Windows Phone 7 on Nokia handsets is building up some momentum right about now. The phone is surely an entertainment packed device but if the pricing speculation is to be believed, 25K for a phone with out a front camera and a platform that has under 100 apps may be disadvantage in competitive terms. We’ll wait for the hands on to make our final call on this device. Stay tuned.
