The Nudge Foundation Raises $356K In Funding Led By Nandan Nilekani

The Nudge Foundation, a non-profit focusing on sustainable poverty alleviation, today announced a $365,000 grant, raised from entrepreneurs in India. The non-profit aims to impart life-skills, literacy as well as livelihoods for the poor.

The Nudge Foundation, a non-profit focusing on sustainable poverty alleviation, today announced a $365,000 grant, raised from entrepreneurs in India. The non-profit aims to impart life-skills, literacy as well as livelihoods for the poor.

The former CEO of Infosys, Nandan Nilekani, and founders from Great Wall Club, InMobi and Paytm together made contributions of $365,000 in total, wherein Nilekani pledged a single seed-grant of $200,000 to the organization.

Started by Ex InMobi Revenue Officer, the foundation was launched on July with an eminent team of Board Advisory members including Hugo Barra, Vice President, Xiaomi, Dr. Pramath Raj Sinha, Founding Dean, ISB, Naveen Tewari, Founder & CEO, InMobi, Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Founder, Paytm & One97, Manish Dugar, Chief Financial Officer, InMobi and Neeraj Arora Vice President, Whatsapp.

“The money pledged by each of these visionaries will enable the Foundation to reach its goal of pulling 1 million people sustainably out of poverty by 2020 at a much faster pace,” said Atul Satija, Founder & CEO, The Nudge Foundation.
