Ola Opens Up Its API to Selected Partners; Targeting 100mn+ Userbase Over 2 Years

Ola has announced the public release of its API, allowing major mobile applications as well as individual developers, to integrate Ola’s offering onto their platforms. This could include integrations across ride availability, estimation, booking and tracking, allowing partners to complete their experience for their users with Ola.

Brands like Samsung, MakeMyTrip, InMobi, and Helpchat have integrated Ola’s API. This is a huge step for Ola to go beyond the app in reaching out to more users from partner brands, giving them the benefit of a seamless experience in terms of personal transportation. Ola targets an overall reach to a user base of over a 100 million from its API partners over the next 2 years (site: http://developers.olacabs.com/).

The APIs are also expected to evolve rapidly, allowing for integrations across Ola Money and newer categories and use cases available on the Ola app.
