Ola Share and UberPool May Have to Withdraw Services in Karnataka From Monday

Ola and Uber may have to stop their ride-sharing services in Karnataka after the state transport commissioner called them as illegal. Karnataka Transport Minister M K Ayyappa has informed Ola and Uber that Ola Share and UberPool services will have to be halted from Monday.
Karnataka’s laws do not allow taxi owners to make multiple pickups en-route and are only allowed to pick up customers at the source and dropping them off at their destination.
On their part, the cab aggregating companies have maintained that their shared services are within the purview of the law, and added that they will continue to engage with the government.
