OnePlus CEO Says The ‘2’ Will Be Priced Under $450

The company seems to want to replicate the same formula and success of last year’s flagship phone. The device comes packing a top of the line Snapdragon 810 processor and could feature a fingerprint reader and all-metal construction. While the price and specs will undoubtedly be great, it is to be seen if OnePlus ditches its invite system of sale.

OnePlus created a splash with the One last year largely due to the ridiculously low price for the high-end hardware it offered. This time around, the company plans to continue along the same lines with its upcoming flagship, the ‘2’.

OnePlus One

Company CEO Pete Lau has come out saying that the device will cost under $450 in a statement on the official OnePlus Google+ page. He was also quoted saying, “Honestly, it’s never been about the price.”

We already know that the OnePlus 2 is going to come packing a top of the line Snapdragon 810 processor and a fingerprint scanner and an all metallic body are big possibilities from all the rumours and leaks so far.

With that kind of hardware at a sub-$450 price tag, OnePlus might have a winner on its hands yet again. The only thing then holding the company back could be its mode of sale if it opts for its woefully tedious invite system once again.
