Data: 3G Started Picking up Mid 2013; Delhi Tops Online Mobile Recharge

Mobile recharge company Paytm, has shared interesting data. Some interesting aspects become evident if you look at the data.

Mobile recharge company Paytm, has shared some interesting data with us. According to the transactions that took place on their site, 3G started picking up in the country somewhere around mid-2013.

Mobile users from Delhi used Paytm the most, followed by Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad and Mumbai. Considering that Paytm has a significant market share in the mobile recharge space, it gives you a good picture of which city is transacting online the most.

Interestingly, Paytm has more iPhone users than any other single handset. However, overall, Samsung users top the chart. Paytm Handsets

Prepaid consumers used Paytm to recharge Airtel mobiles the most followed by Vodafone and Idea. Note that Airtel is India’s largest telecom operator by number of users.Paytm Telco Share

Delhi, Pune, Bangalore, Mumbai and Chennai had the highest number of recharges using apps.
