Ookla co-founder predicts delayed arrival of 5G in India

Network speed monitoring service Ookla predicts that the arrival of 5G technology might be delayed in India. According to its CO-founder and GM, Doug Suttles, the late introduction of 4G and huge spends to upgrade the infrastructure could be the key reasons behind the slow 5G adoption.

He sighted the similar reasons behind the lack of interest in improving services. Additional costs along with the ever-increasing customer base are the reasons why 4G speeds in India are among the lowest globally.

He also refuted Reliance Jio’s allegations of publishing biased speed results towards Airtel.
