OrangeScape secures $1mn funding from IAN

PaaS provider, OrangeScape has raised $1mn from IAN (Indian Angel Network) and post this funding, Sharad Sharma of IAN will join OrangeScape’s board.

OrangeScape was started in 2003 and has operations in North America, Western Europe/UK and India. orangescapeOrangeScape uses a modeling driven visual development environment for creating business applications and can be deployed as Cloud Apps, SaaS or on-premise applications. The company leverages the cloud infrastructure of Google App Engine,  Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS and Private Clouds to provide massive scalability and storage capacity.

That is, as a PAAS provider they give you the necessary plumbing to run on different cloud platforms, or on-premise, without making changes to your solution.

The PAAS platform portability ensures that you can move your application to the new cloud provider without any change in your application. It offers you the unique ability to deploy the same application on-premise Java Platforms. Applications developed on OrangeScape Studio can switch between Cloud and on-premise with ‘ZERO’ impact or change (more about the platform here).
