There are several startups in online medicine buying space (nedmeds, merapharmacy etc), though no player being big enough to be called #1 or #2.
For Practo, ordering medicine online is a stand alone feature – but imagine integrating the same with Practo Ray, the doctor management system.
Unless the loop closes, expect discounts and more GMV stories to drive traction.
Practo last raised $90mn in August 2015, acquired InstaHealth for $12mn and recently acquired Qikwell (appointment booking platform); and has launched in SE Asia.
