Parenting Social Platform BabyChakra Raises Series-A Funding

BabyChakra, a social discovery platform for young parents in India, has raised its Series-A funding from Seattle-based venture capital company RoundGlass. The funding will be invested in product development, strategic hires and to creating localised content, the company said.

Founded by Harvard Business School alumnus Naiyya Saggi, BabyChakra is an online community that provides information on conception, pregnancy, birth, and early childhood for parents and parents-to-be. The site also provides reviews of maternity and childcare services.

Last year, the company raised $600K in seed round from Mumbai Angels, the Singapore Angel Network and investor Arihant Patni.
