On-Demand Grocery Delivery Service PepperTap Raises Seed Funding From Sequoia Capital

Seems like everyone’s gearing up for Reliance’s entry into the online grocery delivery space

Gurgaon-based on-demand grocery delivery service PepperTap has raised an undisclosed sum in a seed round from Sequoia Capital.
The funding will be used to scale up operations and build a skilled team of 100+ employees by the end of the year.
Further, PepperTap will use the raised capital to build a strong online as well as offline visibility and further develop its product.
The move is a follow up to BigBasket’s $32 million round of funding led by Helion Venture Partners and Zodius in September last year.
All players in the grocery delivery service are gearing up for competition from retail giant Reliance who said it would make an entry into the space soon.
