BSE listed Persistent Systems which created a fund to back startups has invested in Hyginex, a healthcare technology startup. The wearable technology startup based in California, sells a wristband that reminds hospital workers and doctors to wash their hands (via).
Persistent’s new venture fund invests between $100,000 – $250,000 in startups. Earlier, it invested in Ustyme- a video call app for iPad and DxNow, another healthcare technology startup.
In 2008, Israeli national Efrat Raichman founded Hygenix with her husband Yossi Raichman. Hyginex has a patent on its device.
Persistent Systems also recently setup Accelerite, a business unit to take its portfolio of products and solutions to the market.
