Portea has acquired Health Mantra for an undisclosed amount.
Bangalore based Health Mantra was founded in 2009 by Ashish Bhutada and Anoop Kodoli. With a team of over 30 members, Health Mantra provides home medical equipments.
“Portea is deeply committed to providing our patients with convenient and affordable solutions for all their healthcare needs. Medical equipment is often an integral element of effective home healthcare especially in areas such as diabetes, oncology, orthopedics, geriatric care, sleep and respiratory disorders. Our acquisition of Health Mantra augments Portea’s offering and underlines our customer focus,” said Meena Ganesh, MD & CEO, Portea in a statement.
Earlier in September 2015, Portea had received $37.5 million in Series B funding from Accel, IFC, Qualcomm Ventures and Ventureast. It also acquired healthcare tech startup PSTakeCare in an all-cash deal.
