Portea Medical has acquired majority stake in healthcare tech startup PSTakeCare in an all-cash deal. The details of the deal has not been disclosed.
PSTakeCare provides information on doctors, hospitals and other healthcare service providers based on factors such as insurance coverage provided, procedure-specific feedback and room-wise costs and helps consumers take better decisions.
PSTakeCare owned by Takecare Technology, was founded in March 2015 by Pratik Chinchole, Rahil Momin, Anup Raaj and Shirin Shinde.
Mumbai based PSTakeCare now plans to expand and launch services in other metros.
Portea claims to handle more than 70,000 visits to patients’ homes in a month. It is present across 24 cities in India and has more than 4,000 staff. The company also has a presence in Malaysia. Portea had earlier acquired Medybiz Pharma.
