Recently, one of the Flipkart delivery boys was killed by a customer for petty reason (the customer didn’t have the money to pay and he insisted the delivery boy to give him the delivery).
Project Nanjunda (named after Nanjunta, the delivery boy who was killed) is a SOS button within the Flipkart app (for delivery boys). When used, it will send a SMS and an email notification alerting the hub-in-charge and nearest field executives.
Importantly, no data connection is needed for this feature.
Whether this will work for delivery boys or not, but it does give an assurance from the company on safety and well being.
