Quikr introduces the maximum sales price calculator for sellers, BoxTV enables mobile payments for UK customers and MapmyIndia revamps its portal.

Online classifieds, Quikr has now introduced a maximum sales price calculator for buyers and sellers.

The maximum sales price (MSP) calculator is a guide for the best price at which a used good can be sold.  The MSP is an algorithm that uses the prices of similar products that have been listed over 3 months to calculate a fair price range.

Sellers can find a price range by keying in various categories and sub-categories to which the products belong. This includes the brand, product type, purchase price etc. The details to be keyed vary depending on the product. The MSP subsequently provides a price range that is good, excellent or average.

Quikr currently has over 10 million live ad listings across various categories for which the MSP provides the resale price. The MSP is available for cars and bikes, home and lifestyle, mobile phones and electronics categories.

Mobile Payments for BoxTV Subscribers in the UK

Indian video streaming service BoxTV has launched its mobile payments service for customers in the UK. The payments will be facilitated through mobile billing partner Fortumo.

BoxTVHomeUsers who can access this through mobile packs include subscribers of Virgin Mobiles, Orange, Vodafone and T Mobile. Subscribers can access bollywood and regional content through the mobile packs.

BoxTV has over 14,000 hours of content that can be viewed in over 9 languages for customers outside India. The Indian film discovery platform is targeting the 1.5 million strong Indian diaspora in the UK with the move.

MapMyIndia Revamps Maps Portal

Digital map data and navigation company, MapMyIndia has revamped its existing maps portal

The revamped portal will include real-time traffic updates, a social media interface and widgets. The real-time traffic feature will currently only be available in Delhi and Mumbai.

The social media interface allows users to edit POIs, comment and review existing POIs and also mark places users have been to.

MapmyIndia had recently entered into a partnership with GIS software provider ESRI India to obtain GIS solutions.
