Rajasthan government is planning to set up a research center and manufacturing zone for Electric vehicles. The state govt. also plans to bring a dedicated electric vehicle policy to promote EV adoption in the state.
The proposed industrial policy draft includes subsidies for setting up EV components manufacturing in the state. Other incentives like duty waiver on actual use of captive power by the battery manufacturing units and allotment of land on short-term lease have also been proposed.
