Rapido had recently announced the launch of its bike taxi service from October 31 in Mumbai.
However, Avinash Dhakne, the state transport commissioner is now saying that, he has not granted permission to the company. He also said that the state does not intend to grant permission to any bike taxi service till the end of this COVID pandemic.
Auto unions were also supposed to be unhappy with the launch of bike taxis.
