Apple Launches Low-Price App Tiers In India [Starting Price Rs 10]

The low-price tiers ‘Alternate Tier A’ and ‘Alternate Tier B’ which were available to devs in China will now be rolled out across India, Indonesia, Mexico, Russia, South Africa, and Turkey. Developers will be able to price their apps and in-app purchases differently for different country clusters. Prices for apps in India now starts at Rs 10 on Apple’s App Store.

Expedia Disposes Stake In Chinese Subsidiary eLong For $671 Million

The move was most likely instigated by eLong’s failure to turn a profit and the company also registered a $31 million loss in Q1 2015. The stake was snapped up by numerous Chinese travel firms, including Ctrip which confirmed that it paid about $400 mn for 37.6% stake. In order to make up for the lack of a partner in China, Expedia has announced that it will partner with Ctrip.
