partners with Comat Tech, moves deep down rural Karnataka

RedBus has partnered with Comat Technologies (a for-profit Social Enterprise & leading provider of E-Governance solutions in India and is behind several initiatives like Bhoomi, Akshaya etc ) to extend its’ services to provide online busRedBus ticketing.

This service will be provided through Comat’s Nemmadi telecenters and will enable Karnataka’s rural citizens to book bus tickets to various destinations all over India.

This instantly gives the RedBus team an access to 800 centers that will cover rural Karnataka – a big distribution milestone for RedBus guys, I believe.

The bus ticketing market is slated to be the next big wave in Indian travel industry and even biggies, like MakeMyTrip are eyeing this market.
